Refund Policy

Overview

This refund policy outlines the circumstances under which refunds may be granted for purchases made through Chess Scanner. We strive to provide excellent service while maintaining fair refund practices.

14-Day Refund Window

You may request a full refund within 14 days of your token purchase, subject to the following conditions:

  • Refunds are only available if none of the purchased tokens have been consumed
  • Refunds will be processed to the original payment method used for purchase
  • Refunds typically take 3-7 business days to appear in your account

Partial Usage Policy

Once any tokens from a package have been used, the entire package becomes non-refundable. We do not offer partial refunds based on unused tokens from a package where some tokens have been consumed.

Example: If you purchase 100 tokens and use 1 token, the remaining 99 tokens cannot be refunded, even within the 14-day period.

Technical Issues

In cases where technical issues prevent you from using our service properly:

  • Tokens will not be consumed if processing fails due to our technical errors
  • We will investigate and resolve technical issues promptly
  • Additional compensation may be provided at our discretion for significant service disruptions

How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, please follow these steps:

  2. Include your order number and reason for the refund request
  3. Verify that your request meets our refund criteria
  4. Allow 2-3 business days for request processing

Refund Process

Once a refund is approved:

  • Paddle will process the refund to your original payment method
  • Tokens will be immediately removed from your account
  • You will receive email confirmation of the refund
  • Bank processing times may vary (typically 3-7 business days)

Exceptions

Refunds may be considered outside of our standard policy in exceptional circumstances:

  • Documented technical issues that significantly impact service quality
  • Billing errors or duplicate charges
  • Fraudulent transactions (subject to investigation)

These exceptions are evaluated on a case-by-case basis at our sole discretion.
